Several practical, effective, and safe means improve a person's probability of successfully preventing or treating acute COVID-19 and post COVID issues (aka "Long COVID").

It appears likely that COVID-19 ... and colds, flu and RSV ... pandemic spread could have been (and still could be) stopped with readily-available, non-prescription, safe, inexpensive antiviral nasal spray and gargles as prevention ... and as part of early treatment.

The incubation period is the time it takes for an infection to develop after a person has been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The incubation period ends when the first signs or symptoms of the COVID-19 appear. Long COVID (PASC) is complex and can be debilitating ... often affecting several different parts of the body, changing over time and unique for each individual. If you have Long COVID, you likely will have to try various treatments and behaviors to determine what best helps you specifically at different points in your Long COVID progression. A healthy lifestyle (diet, sleep, sunlight exposure, moderate exercise, etc.) and a positive attitude about your recovery seem to be essential.

Long COVID is a multi-system condition that can occur weeks after recovering from a COVID -19 infection. Even if the infection was mild or asymptomatic, you still can develop Long COVID.

Long COVID is a systemic and chronic condition involving inflammation, formation of clots, dysautonomia, gut dysbiosis and mitochondrial dysfunction. It often causes chronic fatigue, brain fog, taste and smell abnormalities, neuropathies, abdominal pain and bloating, chest pain, and vibration sensations.

Research suggests that persistent viral antigens, latent herpes virus reactivation and chronic inflammation may all contribute to long COVID. The researchers also point out that the decreased levels of morning cortisol warrant further investigation, given its central role in homeostatic and stress responses.
